Finishing Processes
Advanced finishing solutions for cleanliness, performance and reliability
AMFT provides a comprehensive suite of in‑house finishing and superfinishing processes designed to meet the strictest requirements for burr removal, edge rounding, surface refinement, and component cleanliness. Our finishing operations support high‑volume transportation, powertrain, electronics, industrial, and precision device applications where surface quality, dimensional accuracy, and technical cleanliness are critical.
With state‑of‑the‑art technologies, controlled process parameters, modern inspection systems, and skilled finishing specialists, AMFT ensures your components meet or exceed exacting performance and quality standards.
AMFT delivers advanced performance‑enhancing grinding processes engineered to elevate the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of your stamped, formed, and machined components. With specialized equipment and climate‑controlled capabilities, we achieve micron‑level tolerances that meet the rigorous demands of automotive, aerospace, industrial, powertrain, and precision device applications.
Our grinding technology ensures every component performs exactly as intended—on day one and throughout its service life.
Why AMFT
Superfinishing
Our advanced, multi-step superfinishing process leaves a mirror finish with enhanced fatigue life.
Advanced Brushing & Washing Systems
Powertrain components and injector parts often require extreme technical cleanliness, particularly those used in oil-bearing circuits or fine fluid pathways. AMFT delivers this through:
- High-speed brushing stations
- Downstream precision washing and drying
- Ability to deburr and clean small recesses on both sides
- Controlled cycle times for high-volume production
Cleanliness values are continuously monitored during production to ensure compliance with stringent customer requirements. Technical cleanliness is treated as a core quality attribute, not an afterthought.
Shot peening
Our shot peening process prolongs product life by preventing fatigue and stress corrosion failures. A pioneer in this space, AMFT was the first to apply shot peening to springs for fatigue life improvement in 1929.
Automatic Sorting for Dimensional & Surface Precision
AMFT uses fully automatic camera and laser inspection systems capable of detecting surface defects, burrs and irregularities, form deviations, cosmetic imperfections, and dimensional deviations in the hundredth-of-a-millimeter range.
Modern Linear Deburring Systems
Equipped with surface scanning and compensation control, AMFT’s linear deburring systems are used to easily grind away larger burrs and uneven surfaces. We control the corner radius with planetary brushing stations and simultaneously remove secondary burrs from the grinding process.
Ultra‑Precision Double‑Face Grinding
With 10 double‑face grinding machines, AMFT offers unparalleled capacity and flexibility for high‑volume programs requiring extremely tight dimensional control:
- Precision grinding to ± 0.00020” accuracy
- High throughput for large production batches
- Stable dimensional results even on challenging geometries
- Climate‑controlled environment when required for micro‑stability
Advanced Grinding for Asymmetrical & Complex Geometries
Not all parts are symmetrical - and AMFT has the technology to handle that. For components with irregular shapes or asymmetric profiles, we use machines equipped with rotational feeds that guarantee high accuracy across non‑uniform surfaces.
Quality & Compliance You Can Trust
AMFT operates facilities with third‑party certifications aligned to the industries we serve:

These systems reinforce our commitment to traceability, reliability, and sustainable manufacturing.
